Tai Chi reduces stress and raises your spirit. That's the conclusion of an american study. It was carried out on persons with enhanced risk of cardiovascular diseases, e.g. high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes or smokers.
The study showed that 12 weeks of Tai Chi-training - one hour three times a week - lowered the stress level of the tested persons with 16%. Beyond this the number of persons with unstable spirit lowered with 54%, and the level of tiredness lowered with 22%.
So in relation to both stress og health there are lots of good reasons for training Tai Chi.
